Kipper Pate
Kipper pate is a traditional delicacy from Northern Europe. It’s most well-known as a sandwich filling, but it can be served with toast points or crackers as a healthy snack or appetizer. Our Kipper pate is made of award-winning kippered North East Atlantic Herring (Clupea harengus), flavoured with cream, lemon and horseradish and spices. This delicacy comes ready to eat.
Kipper can be beneficial to your health as it contains vitamins D, B12, and B6, selenium, and omega-3 fatty acids. Kipper is also a source of calcium, protein, and phosphorus. It’s also a great source of protein, including all essential amino acids, necessary for the maintenance and growth of muscle tissue and cell regeneration.
Kipper pate can be used as an amazing starter for dinner parties with family and friends. Served with homemade Melba toasts and sliced cucumber and radishes for dipping. Alternatively, it is great served on a rye bread toast with scrambled or poached eggs. At dinner, pair with Burgundy Chardonnay, German Riesling or Chilean Merlot.
